Idaho is a state in the northwest region of the United States. Idaho is bordered by Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming and Canada to the north. Idaho became the 43rd state on July 3, 1890.

Agriculture and Economy

Idaho produces one third of all the potatoes grown in the U.S.. Idaho is home to the world's largest barrel cheese factory.

The largest industry in Idaho is science and technology industry. Hewlett-Packard has a large plant in Boise, and the only manufacturer of dynamic random access memory (DRAM) chips, Micron Technology Inc. is located there. Nearly 25% of the states revenue comes from high-tech products.
